A MESSAGE FROM ROCHELLE WILNER:

Welcome to my campaign website.  I am your Conservative candidate in the riding if York Centre

After working for so long as an advocate for social justice issues, accessibility issues and fighting discrimination, I felt it was now time to bring my experience to the table and offer myself to be your Member of Parliament in Stephen Harper’s Conservative Government.

I believe that my extensive experience will be a benefit to you the people of York Centre.  I want to be your voice at the decision -making table.   I want to be your voice in Ottawa, not Ottawa’s voice to you.

As the former President of B’nai Brith Canada, and having been a committee member of at least twenty national and international organizations, I have come learn the real value of leadership when important things need to get done.

If elected as your MP I will roll up my sleeves as part of Stephen Harper’s team and bring strong representation to our community.

There may be economic uncertainty on the horizon and our Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, is the man we need to navigate us through uncertain economic times.   During the past two years the Conservatives have brought in tough new laws to fight crime and reduced taxes to strengthen the economy.  The IMF and the economist magazine have said that our economy is strong and that Stephen Harper is the man for the job.

Leadership matters at the local level too. After the recent propane explosion on Murray Road, I had the opportunity to attend two town hallmeetings called by the community and the local city councillor. 

Noticeably absent was the Mayor of Toronto and our Liberal MP who got on a plane and flew to Newfoundland to participate in a Lobster Banquet.  People had to run for their lives in the middle of the night.  Some have not been able to yet return to their homes because of damage. They wanted answers from their elected officials.   They wanted someone to hear their concerns and anxieties.  The Liberal MP went to a lobster fest instead!!!

That is not leadership.  It is the antithesis of Leadership.   It is why I am asking you to cast your vote for me Rochelle Wilner.  I will be there for the celebrations and community events but I will also be there when you need me most.  I will be a strong leader on your side.
